    1. Bernard and Maya go to Vermont to visit her brother Snooky, who is renting a luxurious cabin off the tourist trail. They meet Snooky's girlfriend Sarah and her family, including her wealthy, elderly aunt's young, impecunious fiance Bobby. When Bobby is found shot, the family wants to think it was a hunting accident, but the local police are sure it's murder, and everyone is under suspicion. There's another death before Bernard finds a way to determine who's the culprit.

    2. Very light reading, witty and humorous. Characterizations are highly amusing, almost cartoonish, and their actions in many cases equally bizarre. There is a mysterious death, but the detection is rather random. Having said that, it must also be said the story is a sprightly romp.

    3. I borrowed this book from the library. The story about a sister and her child hating spouse who visit the woman's brother is dull. Even the discovery of a corpse and the unraveling of the murder details don't make it any better.
