    1. The extra chapterShort and to the point, it fills some gaps from The Covenant. Not nearly enough though, still leaving questions unanswered and a bit at odds with future chapters Nice tidbit of backstory, nonetheless.

    2. A fast novella to read. For readers of the original series this is an interesting read. To know more than the protagonist can be frustrating particularly when you have to read the next series to see how long it will take for the truth to come out.

    3. Wow! Binge-worthy! The series pulled me in and kept me wanting more! Amazing how the words lifted the pictures of each scene I could see I could visualize each scene come alive! Amazing adventures and story as the characters were alive in the pages!Movie worthy

    4. Be AwareThis book is referred to as a 'Prequel'. However, after reading the first 25+% I believe it is meant to follow the series, rather than proceed them. Anyway, I'm confused and will now go to Book #1 ' The Banished of Muirwood'.I'll let you know if I'm wrong.

    5. The startThis prequel provides the detail of the trip getting to the lost abby. It provides the back story to th I mgs that happen in book one.

    6. The Lost AbbeyA real nice short story, this will lead you as progress into the other stories that go with this book.

    7. Nice read Just as good as the author's other books he takes you to Muirwood and keeps you there as his other books.

    8. GoodreadI enjoyed reading this to find out were the story line came from for the rest of this series of stories

    9. ReviewI found this book to be a great prequel to the muirwood books. I would recommend this to all Jeff wheeler fans.

    10. A great peek at the series!I got this story instead of the comic/graphic novel. I love to read words not pictures on my tablet. Guessed I'm old.

    11. Jeff Wheeler is an excellent writer. However, since I had already read all the other books in the series there were a few things I questioned. In the end of the first series Lia triggers the blight from Dochte Abbey. An island abbey that is connected to shore at low tide. This Abbey was the lair of the hetera. In The Lost Abbey (which takes place several hundred years later) Mia goes to the hetera's lair at the Lost Abbey. This Abbey was several days walk from the shore. Even witht he location i [...]

    12. Tops off the Muirwood SeriesIt was great to learn the particulars of this piece of Maia's story! It shares details of the main character's story that give more insight into her choices. A must for fans!

    13. DisappointedThis book was not up to the same standard as the rest of the series regretfully. It needed to be longer. This is a shame as I had very much enjoyed the rest of the series.

    14. Interesting prequel I did not find this story as good as what I have read thus far by wheeler. I'm hoping the trilogy that follows is much better.

    15. Even though The Lost Abbey is only a few pages, it is a good introduction to the Covenant of Muirwood series.

    16. Book 4 I think reading this short story before going into book 1 is best but not required. Jeff does a fine job of setting up all of the areas in his story map!
