    2. I didn't find this one nearly as cute/engaging as the first book in the series. The first was completely "magical" and fun and warm; I loved how Meredith enjoyed doing tasks better than having magic do them for her. This one just gets a bit "out-of-control" and lacks depth as Meredith and a wizard she inadvertently invited over start battling with spells, much to the chagrin of her cute blue-and-white-polka-dotted kitty.
