    1. Author, Black-Davis, penned a year long perspective of life from the eyes of the accomplished Christian Cullen. Cullen is a sophisticated, educated double minority faced with trifling relationships, family riffs, and spiritual uncertainty. Her life is further complicated as it intersects with her best friends, Celeste, Reese, and Carra. Breakthroughs that are "much needed" and "much deserved" occur at a time when Christian has positioned herself to excel professionally. The dialogue in some chap [...]

    2. At times, I caught a reflection of myself and my friends, in the characters of this book (Christian - the main character, Reese, Carra, and Celeste), and I thoroughly enjoyed the "diary" style that the book was written in. Shaken and Stirred is a modern book that highlights the ups and downs of young black professionals and their relationships with family, friends, and love interests. I especially enjoyed that the main character, Christian, is a successful entrepreneur and is very focused on her [...]

    3. I enjoyed this book. The characters are very relatable. I swear I was right there hanging out with them. Many of the characters are people I know in real life. Some of the issues are all too familiar. I see a lot of myself in Christian but had moments where I've been Reese. I read this book in two days. I couldn't put it down because I had to know what happened next. You won't be disappointed.

    4. I thought this Shaken and Stirred was well written and quite relatable. At times, I could visualize myself talking to my girlfriends. Without spoiling the book, I'd like to see a Part II to see whats next for the characters. Good read!

    5. Absolutely loved this book was a real page turner and was hard to put down. Loved the characters - well written and engaging read.

    6. A young black professional woman, Christian Cullen, is a woman of many labels. We read her journal to help us to understand and to know her better. A superwoman balancing her life, personal, business, and health. A good read that kept me wanting to find out what happens next. A book of encouragement for the future of black woman. Not dream but work and make something of themselves. The possibility is there for all.

    7. This was a very relatable read. Could of been a little bit more juicy or added drama. Overall, it was enjoyable.
