    1. A fun read. KL's writing style is fresh and flirty, with a lot of quirky humour and laugh-out-loud moments. I particularly loved the "head-butting" and the constant sparring between Vivi and Connor. Childhood nemesis, Connor and Vivi are forced together into a fundraiser competition Vivi's "holier-than-Connor" attitude gets under Connor's skin. Always had. Connor is the one person who can make Vivi's blood boil just by breathing. Add a strong attraction and some sexual frustration and you got a [...]

You’re crazy talented- I won’t deny that. And I know you’ve worked hard, so I give you proper credit there too. I also know you can be very petty, extremely superficial and completely self-centered. Oh and your ego is suffocatingly immense.”- Vivi“While you, Miss Vivi, are sanctimonious and supercilious. [...]

    3. I completely and entirely adored this book, the fall from grace of good girl Vivi due to the very sexy a sin sinner Connor was a absolutely thrill to read from start to finish. The clever use of a Sinners and Saints contest used to gather funds for hurricane victims is what pulled this one together and made for explosive, passionate and simply put delicious reading. The author did a brilliant job with the characters of both Vivi and Conner, both strong, independent and in it to win it. Add to tha [...]

    4. 4 Stars ~ Asked to return to his home city of New Orleans to participate in a Saint and Sinner fund raiser, Connor welcomes the break from his hectic schedule on the world music tour. He's well known as the handsome bad boy rocker and lately his reputation has turned rather scandalous. Being named The Sinner for the pageant isn't far off the mark. Surprisingly The Saint, his competitor, is none other than Vivienne, the one woman who isn't the least bit impressed by him. Vivi may be a former Miss [...]

    5. I love Harlequin's new Kiss line. The stories are fun with a little bit of added spice. I'm kind of on the fence with this one. I love the plot of a good girl and bad boy getting together, but Vivi is just a hard character to relate to. I mean she was a debutante and a pageant queen. She's everything I usually hate in a woman, but she is sweet in some ways. That said, I had a hard time warming up to her. She was too superior and too snotty and her obsession with winning got on my nerves. Its Conn [...]

When she is elected Saint of the annual New Orleans Saints and S [...]

    7. 2.5 to 3 starsI had a difficult time connecting with Vivi, and that hindered my enjoyment of the story. I did like Connor, but he wasn't enough to get me invested in the plotVIEWI struggled with The Downfall of a Good Girl. I never felt a connection with Vivi, the story’s protagonist. She is everything that I am not. She comes from one of New Orleans’ oldest and wealthiest families, she is a former beauty queen, and now she spends her days running an art gallery and volunteering for various [...]

    8. Good book. Vivienne is a former beauty queen who now owns an art gallery and spends her time working with a lot of charities doing good all around New Orleans. She is always very conscious of her actions and how they could be perceived. She is very proud of the fact that she has been asked to participate in the annual Saints and Sinners pageant. She is not at all happy to find that Connor has also been asked to participate. She and Connor have known each other all their lives and have disliked e [...]

    10. Originally posted HERE.After finishing a book that infuriated me for many reasons, I needed something lighter and more fun. The Downfall of a Good Girl was in my pile of review books, and it turned out it was exactly the kind of book I was looking for.Harlequin’s KISS category is brand new, and of the few books I have read in the line so far, I’ve found they deliver exactly what the packaging promises. They read like romantic comedy films, but I prefer romantic comedies in book form. Though [...]

    11. This is my third book read from the Harlequin Kiss line and I’m starting to think that maybe it’s time to move on. That’s not to say that there is anything particularly wrong with these books but I’ve been underwhelmed by the whole lot of them. This book had all of the things that make a great story and it was good but I wasn’t completely blown away with the story or the characters. This story follows Vivi LaBlanc and Connor Mansfield as they bumble along their way toward that happy end [...]

    13. Review first posted on paperbackdolls3.5 stars Ever wondered what happens to former beauty queens? Well, In Vivienne LaBlanc's case, she volunteers on nearly every non-profit board in New Orleans. Her reputation is so clean and good it makes one wonder if she has any immoral thoughts at all. Every year prior to Mardi Gras, one of the charities in New Orleans holds a Saints and Sinners pageant to raise money and do good works for those in need throughout the city. The Saint and Sinner nominees ar [...]

    14. Watching the interactions between Conner and Vivi is highly amusing, especially considering all the ways they "read too much into" everything the other says or does. Despite all the ways they annoy each other, and seem highly incompatible, it is impossible to deny that they have great chemistry together. The more they are forced to work together, the more they begin to realize things about each other. For example, Vivi begins to see what a caring person Conner really has become - despite what th [...]

    15. This book tell the story of Vivienne who was appointed athe the “Saint” in the Saint & Sinner fund raising competition without realising that her rival; “Sinner”is Conner, whom she fell in love in High School but was disappointed when she get to know that Conner only befriended her to get closer to her best friend then. He is the last person she expected to be selected given that he is busy with his rock star career. She still harboured the belief that he has betrayed their friendshi [...]

    16. This was a fun, sexy read. I enjoyed the back and forth between Vivi and Connor. Ultimately, that was what made the book for me. They were hot together which was great, but I loved that there was another type of heat between them. From almost enemies to friends to lovers, that’s the kind of stuff I love to see in romance novels. I loved the history between the characters. Vivi was holding a serious grudge against Connor and I really felt like she had a good reason, even if no one else thought [...]

    17. A sweet romance from a new Harlequin imprint KISS, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I began The Downfall of a Good Girl. I think I secretly hoped there would be a lot of sexual tension between Vivi and Connor, so I was disappointed when moments that could have knocked my socks off between the two didn't. It's my understanding the KISS line is marketed as a more sensual romance, but I didn't find that to be true at all with The Downfall of a Good Girl. (I haven't read any other KISS books yet [...]

    18. very light n fun:) realistic included; no melodramatics or traumatic past involved. it was a case of opposites attracting. they had a thing going since childhood but masked it wid antagonism n dislike, u no the hate/love kind. the author dealt wid it very lightly. i mean it was not the kinda of book wid high emotions or hot scorching chemistry. the sex was great but they did not burn the sheets. vivi was quite the lil madam n it's expected, she being miss louisana n runner-up in the miss america [...]

    19. This was a stupid plan. You want to know why? Because Im burnt out on writing reviews for 200 page contemporary romances where you cant really say anything without giving away key plot points.I cant tell you that or that or even that GAH THIS IS UTTERLY MADDENING!What I can tell you is that, once again, I enjoyed this story. The setting and characters were compelling. Again, it was a well written, standard contemporary romance, and again, that [...]

    21. This a quick read. Vivi and Connor hated each other but was it really hate? The story opens with them working together on a charitable campaign. Connor a famous musician and Vivi a pagnant queen. The goal is to raise as much money as possible for the victims of Katrina in New Orleans. The competition is on but something else happens between the two during their month long forced working relationship. Maybe the hate was really love in disguise.Don't read this book if you are looking for a lot of [...]

    22. Sometimes what you really need is solid I-hate-you-but-I-love-you love story. The Downfall of a Good Girl falls solidly into that category and definitely doesn’t disappoint.Though it’s a fun, flirty story about two people who knew each other when, only to be reunited after both having very public personas—Vivienne, a Miss America runner up; Connor, a rock star with a bad reputation—there is a shocking level of depth to this story. Read the rest of this reviewhere.

    23. The Downfall of a Good Girl is part of Harlequin’s new KISS line, which are all about flirting and the “delirium of a potential new romance.” And it definitely is a good fit. Vivi and Connor love to bicker and the battle of wills is fun. It becomes even more fun, and steamy, when they lay aside their swords and decide to be “civil.” I really liked both Vivi and Connor and enjoyed watching them let go of some long held beliefs about the other in order to get along. For a full review, pl [...]

    24. This was an excellent story about hometown boy making good and then returning home to lend his celebrity to a good charitable cause. The fact that the setting is New Orleans makes it even more interesting. The push and pull between the two main characters makes for very good reading and I can honestly say that I enjoyed this book very much. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment of The LaBlanc Sisters in the March Harlequin Kiss line.

    25. The Downfall of a Good Girl was a really cute story. The main characters, Vivi and Connor, are realistic because they have flaws. Vivi has trouble giving Connor a chance after things went sour when they were teenagers and Connor is oblivious to that. The story moved at a quick pace and I would have appreciated some more detail. I see that this is the first book in a series, so hopefully the next one is about Vivi's sister Lorelai, because I though she was a very funny character.

    26. The more books I read in this new line, the more I like them! So the story isn't anything new, but it is always a fun and cute ride to see how two people who have known each all their lives, and of course, disliked each other in their teen years, manage to become attracted to and end up together as mature adults. I like Vivi, she knew who she was and recognized her limitations, and Connor was a little less self-aware, but not by much. Two entirely likable you rooted for to end up together!

    27. This is a LOT more New Orleans-y, which is awesome. I think the biggest knock against it is how fast it happens (the entire thing takes place over the four weeks of Mardi Gras), but since the people in question have known each other for years, it bothers me less than it might have elsewhere. I also thought the famous person stuff was done reasonably well, if that's something you're into reading about.

    28. New Series! You think of flirting as an art form! Harlequin KISS stories are all about the delirium of a potential new romance—where fun-loving heroines and irresistible heroes just can't get enough of each other. Four new Harlequin KISS titles are available each month!Miniseries: The LaBlanc SistersCategory: Contemporary Romance

    29. I REALLY loved this story in the beginning. The sparring between Connor and Vivi make for great sexual tension and it was a lot of fun to watch. But thenonce they gave in to their attraction, the chemistry kind of fizzled and their relationship became more telling. But overall, I liked the story and characters.

    30. We have an uptight southern princess in Vivienne LaBlanc. Along comes bad boy rocker, Connor Mansfield, who was mean to her in high school. Connor just loves to rock her boat and encourage her to be the sinner instead of a saint. Vivienne fights it hard but soon follows her heart.Great book. Must look for the second book, The Taming of a Wild Child.
