    1. Each of the nineteen stories in this anthology explores the subject of obsession—a word thrown around these days, far-removed from its truer meaning of being completely consumed and overtaken by something (or its even more extreme meaning of being enslaved to something). My GetGlue profile claims I am “obsessed” with True Blood’s Sam Merlotte, but I know this fictional character has not consumed me nor am I enslaved by him, I just think he’s rather attractive, especially with his cloth [...]

An anthology about obsession is perfect for readers who need or want to feel that they're not alone in their compulsions. This book covers it. Silent Treatment by Donna George Storey This story makes it evident that you do not need a voice to be heard. It was a good [...]

    3. Obsession is a theme that easily falls into stale retellings of women obsessing over sexy men to dominate them. While this anthology doesn't avoid this hazard, it has plenty of other stories that transcend into new territories of what it means to be obsessed. Before you pick this up, you need to know the first several stories are the weakest and then it gets much, much better. There is a heavy reliance on "Perfect Man, Perfect Sex" (PMPS) and the sheer perfectness will make your eyes glaze over. [...]

    4. Sexual urges. Everyone has them, right? Men and women, alike. Well, Rachel Bussel takes these “urges” that women have, combines them with the stories of many other writers, and puts them into a collaboration of erotic, hot, steamy, passionate stories that ladies will want to read…d then crawl in bed to act upon the urges that it puts in the women’s mind. Each of the stories held something new, but they all had the same erotic theme: sex…and lots of it. Each story is written by a differ [...]

    5. Received my First-Reads copy today, THANKS Rachel Kramer Bussel (/author/show/)!! Can't wait to get started in on it. I hope it's as good as it sounds. I will give a review just as soon as I finish reading itSeriously, as I was reading this my exact thoughts were "it's like short porn clips in text format"That being said this book was just ok for me. I understood it was a collection of stories, but I think I thought it was more along the lines of a few short stories, but in reality there was lik [...]

    6. A little embarrassed to say my expectations for this were low. I expected some well-edited stroke fiction. Pure sex with a smattering of pretty phrases to make me feel smarter while getting off. Instead I found some really thoughtful, heartfelt writing. It challenged me and moved me.Not every story, mind you. In fact, one pissed me off quite a bit and represents the stereotype of bad erotica: flat writing, tepid sex, and unlikeable characters whose most interesting aspect is their movie star loo [...]

    7. I was very excited when I received this book in the mail. The cover is gorgeous. The forward is by Caridad, and she is wonderful. It is a collection of short stories based on obsessions. You will find that some stories are better then others and that will be subjective to the reader. A great reason to pick up this book - If you're short on time but would like to read a little something erotic- help get the juices flowing- this is perfect. Browse through and see what strikes your fancy. My husband [...]

    8. This is a good collection of erotic stories focusing on obsession. As with most anthologies, some stories were better than others. But that kind of judgment can be pretty subjective when it comes to erotica. I'm not much into romance, so the "let's spend our lives together" endings of most of these tales got a little tiring. The overall quality of the collection, however, lives up to RKB's usual high standards. So I would recommend "Obsessed" to just about anyone with an interest in erotic roman [...]

    9. I won this book from First Reads!!This book was ok, it wasn't the best book that i have read. This book is a whole bunch of short stories from multiple authors. One of my favorite stories was Spellbound by Garnell Wallace. If you like to read romance definantly read this book.

    10. Great writing all around. I'm not usually a short story person but I read this through - twice. Rachel Kramer Bussel has put together an interesting and sexy cross section on stories reflecting obsession, sexual energy and emotional compulsion. Great read.

    11. Great stories of love and lust. The only thing I didn't like was that they were too short! I would love for these stories to be a whole book each one.

    12. Some good, a couple of bad ones, overall a solid collection of short smut stories. Something for everyone.

    13. Silent Treatment by Donna George StoreyWhen a woman leaves her busy life in the city for a weekend of silence in a meditation Centre, she couldn’t imagine seeing her ex-lover there. It seems the chemistry between them is still there, but he has some explaining to do and because of the silent treatment the only way to communicate is by body language. One night in Paris by Kayla PerrinVivian is obsessed by her boss Aaron since the one night stand they have. Aaron has been avoiding her ever since, [...]

    14. It's been a little while since I read an anthology, and I'm glad I decided to pick this one up. Obsessed is edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel and contains some authors well known in the erotic romance genre - Portia Da Costa, Justine Elyot, Charlotte Stein, Kristina Wright, Elizabeth Coldwell and K D Grace to name but a few. The theme, as you've probably already guessed, is obsession, and it was very interesting to see how the authors interpreted this theme in so many different ways. There were non- [...]

    15. I seem to have had a run of bad luck with books lately. This book was a big disappointment to me. I love the seduction of good erotica. Maybe I'm old school, but I need a story which can stand alone without the sex to hold my attention. Pages and pages of throbbing members and damp panties just doesn't do it for me.Sadly this was one of those books. The story lines were embarrassingly predictable, all I can say is that the editors have consistency of taste in their favor. I'd recommend "Yellow S [...]
