    1. Carl and the Baby DuckDescription by bookreadsMama Duck has lost one of her ducklings. Where could Baby Duck be? Mama Duck asks Carl for help. Will Carl be able to find Baby Duck? Alexandra Day's ever-popular dog, Carl, stars in this brand-new story created especially for beginning readers. My reviewThis book was written using easy structures. So this book is also good for children who English is not their mother tongue. This book describes animals and nature very well.

    2. Carl is every Mother's best babysitter and now in these books he is helping his other friends - dogs, cats, ducks, etc. This time Carl is helping Mommy Duck find her lost little baby duck!Warm and inviting with simple sentence structure and the fantastic pictures of Carl this will delight any Carl lover!

    3. My first grader enjoyed reading this on his own. The very basic text read a bit like Dick and Jane, not that that's bad. And it follows a similar formula to the other Carl readers. I think Day is better at painting animals and plants than people, so I enjoyed the fact that there's almost no children in this.

    4. Level 1 Simple stories for the emergent readerRottweilers are beautiful dogs and Alexandra Day captures their gentle side perfectly in all of her books. This title has Carl helping Mama Duck find her lost duckling by searching all over the neighborhood and finally finding it hidden in the fountain.

    5. My 4 1/2 year old loved Carl! The text was simple and had a lot of repeating words, which helps him read along. What small boy doesn't love a big 'ol dog! Recommend for beginning readers.

    6. megan summer reading 2016, children's book, leveled reader, easy reader, series, carl, dog, baby duck, ducklings, cute, first grade, second grade,

    7. This is a fun and interesting book. It's most likely just a book that you could read during the students free time. It's just a fun and entertaining book.
