    1. Having been aware of the story in the news at the time, it was interesting to read the details of the ordeal Peter Lloyd went through in Singapore and the events in his career that lead him to this point. Obviously the book was written as a key part of his mental recovery, and the writing style improves when supported by the notes at the time he choose to write (part of the story itself). Very easy to read, though a frightful reminder not to get caught up in Asian countries on the wrong side of [...]

    2. I enjoyed this book, however unless you have an interest in Asia or Singapore it may not be of general interest. Provides excellent insight into Singapore, not the Singapore a tourist will see.

    3. Lloyd's own account of when he was arrested in Singapore on drug charges. Illuminating account of the effects of PTSD when reporting on horrific world events.
